Lovely dining options at Lucky Buck Restaurant. Large rooms & comfortable beds.

The rooms had been completely upgraded and they have thought of everything… phone and watch charger options by the bed, multiple off-floor places for suitcases, pump products in the shower and even for lotion, clean floor instead of marginal carpets. Cute surroundings with outside sitting options. Last stop before you pay the high prices in the Park! Excellent value too.

The location was 20 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. Very nice room. Comfortable bed. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Pluses -- extra large room, clean, great TV with many channels, nice shower, a bathroom with a closing door for privacy, easy check-in. In September we swam in the outdoor pool which was unheated but still warm enough for a nice swim, plus there's a working hot-tub that holds 4 to 6 persons that was working. It's family-friendly with a swing set and jungle gym for kids.Plenty of parking. It's convenient to Yosemite (about 45 minutes away by car). Negative -- a staff person scolded me for swinging on the swing, saying it was only for kids under 12 years of age. But it was probably because of some stupid insurance regulations that they don't allow adults on the swings.

Even though a hotel is close to a gate, it’s still a long drive into the valley. That’s for any hotel around Yosemite though. We loved our stay at the lodge and was able to take hot showers, relax in the hot tub, and get a good nights sleep after our extremely long days of hiking. We would venture over to the lucky buck cafe and get breakfast before heading to the park and would grab dinner after the park. Stay here, you’ll be glad you did.

Room seems to have recently been updated, modern finishes. Bed ok, not a foam top though. Clean, quiet, all you can hope for. Restaurant next door has very convenient and super friendly staff, great service, and good food. Big breakfast for a busy day and dinner in the evening. Did not use the pool. Nice modern TV, remote doesn't really work since the satellite box is hidden behind tv, so I have to stand directly under the tv for it to work. But it wasn't that big of a deal. We were so tired from our exploring that we just fell asleep early. I would recommend this hotel. Easy access to Yosemite.

Wonderful place for your Yosemite area stay! Close to the park entrance, wonderful staff, great room, restaurant right next door, full of amenities for families. We highly recommend this hotel and for sure will stay here again when we are visiting Yosemite. We were here in early September, 2019. The area was NOT overcrowded but this hotel was about full, if not completely full. Yet, still plenty of parking, room in the hot tub and at the pool, and in the restaurant. The owners and staff are wonderful.

Very close to Yosemite Westgate. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. We were greeted with genuine warm hospitality. Our room was clean. very comfortable and spacious and the location was perfect. We would stay there again.

Delayed in booking a room for our first family trip to Yosemite, and panicked as I could only find this hotel some distance from the park entrance. I needn't have worried! The drive to the park was easy. In fact, I think it is actually better to stay out of the valley as it is easier to get to other parts of the park that way. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was so relaxing and there is a convenient restaurant next door. We were totally happy with our experience and I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Yosemite. I would book here again without hesitation!

Enjoyed our stay! Comfy room, great hot tub, helpful staff and friendly restaurant next door. Yosemite Valley was further than expected, but well worth the effort. Enjoyed our walk to see the giant Sequoias at nearby Tuolumne Grove.
